Julia “Judy” Ann Miller passed from this life on March 10, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. She was born February 15, 1933, to Jack Dyson and Julia Campbell Dyson of Olney, Illinois. She was later adopted by Robert Von Almen after her father passed away at a young age.
Happily married to the love of her life, Curtis Miller, for 53 years – Judy’s life was filled with love, adventure, and joy. The simple pleasures of life were her specialty. Her quick wit and easy-going nature made others gravitate to her, and those in her orbit were blessed. Judy radiated warmth wherever she went, was always quick with a joke and a smile, and had a way of lifting the spirits of all those around her.
Judy loved to say she had three fathers, three brothers, four sons, and one husband and they were all wonderful. She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Robert Todd Miller; husband, Curtis Courtland Miller; and brothers, David Von Almen and Tom Von Almen.
She is survived by her brother, Bob Von Almen (Barbara); sons, Curtis Miller (Anne), Steve Miller (Pat), David Miller (Ava); 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and many beloved relatives and friends that she adored. We were the lucky ones.
She lived a beautiful life. A celebration will be held later in the spring.
Care entrusted to Cardinal Cremation Society.
