HARTFORD-Rondall Joe Whittaker, 81, of Hartford died Sunday, March 10, 2024 at his home. Joe was born in the Buford Community of Ohio County to the late Leonard and Geraldine Yates Whittaker. Joe was a member of Barnetts Creek Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee for many years. He was a retired pipefitter from Local 633. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Rusty Whittaker and a brother, Freddie Whittaker.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years Shirley Evans Whittaker; a son-Jeff Whittaker(Alicia); 2 daughters-Angie Stumpf(Kurt) and Sherry Magan(Robbie); 7 grandchildren-Brandon Miles(Sarah), Nina Belcher(Brian), Whitney Maddox(Aaron), Janna Boyd(Jon), Jesika Whittaker(John), Adam Magan(Johnna), Andrew Magan(Arin); 23 great grandchildren.
Services are 2:00PM Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Barnetts Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Jonathan McCree and Aaron Whittaker officiating. Burial will be in Barnetts Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8PM Tuesday and from 10AM to 1PM at the funeral home. The Family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Barnetts Creek Baptist Church Building Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
