Dennis Johnson, Jr., 83, of Reynolds Station, went to his Heavenly Home on Friday, March 8, 2024, with his wife and children by his side. He was a retired farmer and a member and deacon at Blackford Baptist Church. Dennis enjoyed farming, spending time with his family and church family, camping, deer hunting, fishing and watching his grandchildren play sports.
Dennis was born May 20, 1940, to the late Dennis and Anna Mae Elms Johnson, In addition to his parents, Dennis was also preceded in death by brothers, Earl B. and Bill (BJ) Johnson and sisters, Helen Bolton and Lois Eaton.
Those left to cherish his memory includes his wife of 66 years, Hettie Jean Eaton Johnson; children, Richard (Donna) Johnson, Sheila (Steve) Wechtenhiser, Dennis R. “Butch” (Rachel) Johnson and Teresa (Randy) Smith; grandchildren, Tabitha Johnson Arnold, Richard Jr. (April) Johnson, Jason (Ashley) Nantz, Bethony (Duane) Morris, Adam (Nikki) Johnson, Elizabeth (Gavin) Moles and Stephanie (Austin) Port; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean Beasley and Judy Tate; and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Geary Funeral Home with Brother Duane Morris officiating. Burial to follow in Roseville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
