Owensboro Athletic Club, Edge Body Boot Camp, and other local businesses will be taking on a new look in the relatively near future by moving into a planned 90,000-square-foot complex named Club One.
Owner Dustin Edge said he thinks about how to continue growing his business ventures every 2 years. After 12 years of owning and operating OAC, he said now is the time to upgrade the company to a complex.
“I’ve always wanted to own my own facility. This has been the plan the whole time, to have my oversight that I can grow and develop as needed,” Edge said.
Edge hopes to break ground on the site this summer, but he is not announcing the location just yet.
Edge said Club One will be a multi-level facility with many amenities throughout the complex. He aims to have a 75-foot pool, indoor basketball court, workout areas, and more.
He said the goal will be to provide affordable memberships for the community and make healthy habits as accessible as possible. With his experience in the industry, Edge said he wants to offer everything the community may need when it comes to a healthy lifestyle under one roof.
“With this opportunity of a larger facility, we will be able not just to bring the most up-to-date and newest equipment, but also be able to bring better programming, more services, and more amenities to our members,” Edge said.
Edge said OAC will be joined by Edge Body Boot Camp, Iron Edge Gym, and other like-minded businesses in the complex. Edge said more information on other participating businesses will be announced later.
