Irene Morris Crowe, 79, of Owensboro, died on February 19, 2024, in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Irene was born in West Louisville, Kentucky, on August 17, 1944, to the late Woodrow and Marietta O’Bryan Morris. She was a member of Curdsville Baptist Church. She attended Daviess County High School and retired from Eck Miller Transportation Corporation. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Crowe was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. Crowe; daughter, Lori Rene Crowe; sister, Lois Weaver, and brother, Charlie Morris.
She is survived by her son, Jody (Michelle) Crowe; 3 grandsons, Christopher (Skylor) Crowe, Ethan (Madison) Crowe, and Zachary Crowe; a great-grandson, who was special to her, Keegan Lee Crowe; 2 sisters, Dottye (Bob) Moore of Elizabethtown and Judy (Jerry) O’Bryan of West Louisville; brother, Woody (Louvene) Morris; a brother-in-law, Mike Weaver of Elizabethtown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 23, 2024, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory, with Pastor James Wedding presiding. Burial to follow at Rosehill-Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory and again on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
