Robert “Bubby” Boone, 68, of Owensboro passed at his home away under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky on February 17, 2024. He was born in Owensboro on December 21, 1955, to the late Louis Edward Sr and Flora Bryant Boone. Bubby was a member of the AMVETS and Eagles. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time outdoors especially hunting, and fishing.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Louis Boone Jr, Christopher Boone, and Ronald Boone, and his sister Patricia Morris.
Bubby is survived by his daughter Tracy (Johnnie) Jones; his grandchildren Jessica (David) Knight and Kyler (Kristen) Jones; his “grandbabies” Ezekiel Knight, Josie Knight, and Kayden Jones; his siblings Albert Boone, Barbara Ijames, Belinda (Steve) Baird, and Carolyn Payne; and his ex-wife and good friend Diane Boone.
Visitation will take place Wednesday, February 21, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory.
