Carl W. Cannon, 89, of Whitesville passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. Carl was born on August 29, 1934 in Neshoba County Mississippi to the late Verner and Jesse Dennis Cannon. Carl was a retired pipeline welder of 59 years with Locals 798 and 181.
In addition to his parents, Carl is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Bonita Cannon and his siblings Zeola Townsend, Francis Clepper, Charles Cannon and Laverne Alford.
Carl is survived by his children, Mark (Kristie) and Matt Cannon, Debra (Larry) Alameda and Brenda (Dave) Getman; grandchildren Cassie (Nathan) Cannon, Little Mark (Chloe) Cannon, Gracie Cannon, Caleb Cannon, Courtney Alameda and Cati Alameda and great grandchildren, Skylar, Mark “Tripp”, Ellie Lou Cannon, Oaklynn Fox and his sister, Faye Matthews and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. with burial following at Cates Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m on Saturday, February 17, at Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville, KY.
