Richard “Rick” James Rector, of Hawesville, KY passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born on September 6, 1952 in Winstead, CT to the late Theadore and Ruth Olsen Rector. A 1970 graduate of Martin County High School, Rick spent many years abroad, living in the Virgin Islands and Australia before returning to the US in 2017.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Anthony; sister, Darleene (Frink); and brother Laurence.
Survivors include his niece, Suzanne Burnette and a dear friend, John Byrd.
There is no visitation or service. James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
