The annual ShamRock Bash will to the Owensboro Convention Center on March 15. The St. Patrick’s Day celebration will feature live music by the high-energy Celtic band Scythian.
“Rousing and raucous, Scythian plays roots music from Celtic, Eastern European, and Appalachian traditions with thunderous energy, technical prowess, and storytelling songwriting, beckoning crowds into a barn-dance, rock concert experience,” a release from the Convention Center says. “Nashville’s Music City Roots says Scythian is ‘what happens when rock star charisma meets Celtic dervish fiddling’, and the Washington Post says ‘Scythian’s enthusiasm is contagious, and shows seem to end with everyone dancing, jumping around or hoisting glasses.’
Doors open at 8 p.m. with the band taking the stage at 8:30. Concessions and a full bar will be available with food and drink specials, including green beer. The event is open only to those 21 and older.
General admission tickets are $20. The Lucky 7 Special will be available for the next 7 days, with general admission tickets discounted to $10 per person now through 10 p.m. on February 9. Reserved tables for 4 are available for $100 and for 10 for $260. All tickets are available online at OwensboroTickets.com and at the Owensboro Convention Center. General admission tickets may also be purchased at the door day of the event.
