Lois Marie Brown, 80, of Owensboro, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born on November 1, 1943 in Daviess County to the late Frank and Marie Pearson Peak. She was a graduate of Owensboro Catholic High School. She retired as a cafeteria worker in the Owensboro public school system and also volunteered for Meals on Wheels. Lois was member of Sts. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church where she was a Eucharistic minister and volunteered with St. Vincent de Paul alongside her husband for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, George J. Brown.
Survivors include her son, Glenn Brown; daughters, Michelle Floyd (Lee) and Linda Bradshaw; 7 grandchildren, Tricia Canary (Jared), Randy Blandford (Olivia), Rita Puckett (Johnny), Maggie Bailey (Matt), Joseph Tapia (Alma), Rachel Atchison, and Felicia Brown; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brother, Bill Peak (Judy); and sisters, Dot Hodges (Jim), Carolyn Brown, Jeanne Johnson (John), and Margie Ward (Darrel).
Funeral mass will be at 10:00am on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Sts. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday with prayers at 7:30pm at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory and from 8:30am to 9:30am on Wednesday at the funeral home.
