William “Billy” Edmonson, 83, received a visit on Saturday February 23, 2019 in the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He left this house of clay to receive his Heavenly home. Billy’s last words to his family was “I just can’t wait to get to Heaven.” Prior to his illness, Billy was a very faithful member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church. Billy retired after 40 plus years from A & R Body Shop of Owensboro. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy & Bertha Edmonson, his sister, Margarett Henry.
Married to his beloved wife of 60 years, Nancy. They raised three amazing sons. Marty (Stacy) Edmonson, Rodney (Tina) Edmonson, and Jimmy Edmonson; six grandchildren, Sloan Edmonson, Tabitha (Doug) Denton, Dalton Edmonson, Ashley (Nolan) Thomas, Cody Hornbrook, and Drew Stinnett; Great Grandchildren, Eli Denton, Nelson & Clark Thomas, and Noah Hornbrook; two sisters, Faye Crowe and Nancy Potter.
Services will be 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be in Nickel Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 on Monday and after 10:00 on Tuesday at the funeral home.
