Jeffrey C. Powers, 63, of Hawesville, passed away at his home on Sunday, January 14, 2024 after a lengthy illness. He was born on August 10, 1960 in Owensboro to the late Eugene and Shannon Lamar Powers. Jeff worked many years for Wroe Pallet. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ladonna Powers.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 43 years, Cindy Nugent Powers; daughter, Ashley (Steven) Smith; son, Robert Clinton Powers; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Powers, Ashton “Luke” Henderson, Jada Smith and Levi Smith; siblings, Marla (Steve) Brown, Tina Kirk and Scott Powers; aunts, Vivian Nall and Louise Powers along with several nieces and nephews.
Following Jeff’s wishes, no services will be held and cremation was chosen. Gibson & Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling the arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
