Connie Humphrey 76, of Livermore, Kentucky passed away Monday, January 15, 2024 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Connie Sue Lawrence was born May 23, 1947 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late Edward B. ‘Eddie’ and Retha Myrl Holder Lawrence and was married to Robert Earl Humphrey on July 23, 1965. Connie was a beacon of kindness and love that left behind a legacy of warmth and community spirit. Her life was a testament to the power of family, friendship, and faith.

Her professional life was marked by her tenure as a homemaker and her dedicated service at First Kentucky Bank in Livermore, where she retired. Connie’s work ethic and commitment to her community were evident to all who worked with her.

A long-time member of Pleasant Hill Community Church, Connie was a part of the Pleasant Hill Women, contributing her time and energy to the church community. Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life, and she found great solace and purpose in her involvement with the church.

Connie’s interests extended beyond her professional and spiritual life into the heart of her community. She was a familiar face at Livermore Senior events and spent countless hours volunteering at the McLean County Help Office. Her dedication to serving those around her was a true reflection of her generous spirit.

An exceptional cook, Connie delighted in preparing meals for her family, with Sunday family meals being a cherished tradition. These gatherings were more than just a time to share food; they were moments of togetherness, laughter, and the creation of lifelong memories.

Connie’s passion for life was also evident in the time she spent with her family and friends. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life, and she seized every opportunity to be involved in their lives, celebrating their achievements and supporting them through their challenges.

In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy ‘Bubby’ Lawrence and a daughter-in-law, Michelle Humphrey. Each of them held a special place in her heart and shaped the woman she became.

Connie, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, spent 58 beautiful years alongside her husband, Robert Earl Humphrey. Their enduring partnership was celebrated by all who knew them, and together they built a family founded on mutual respect and affection. She was a devoted mother to her sons, Doug Humphrey (Rachel) of Livermore and Mark Humphrey of Calhoun. Her love knew no bounds, especially when it came to her grandchildren, Bailey Troutman (Hunter) and Parker Humphrey (Loren), her great-grandchildren, Josslyn and Kash Troutman, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends, who brought immeasurable joy to her life.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 19, 2024 at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Connie’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday and from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Friday at Musters in Livermore.
