Sharon Yvonne Kingsley, 66, of Owensboro, KY died Friday, January 12, 2024 at her home. She was born on March 11, 1957 in Owensboro to Clint and Betty Frakes. She retired in 2019 after 26 years for the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services. Sharon wore many hats for the commonwealth of Kentucky; family support specialist III; ABAWD worker, AMA, Medicaid and SNAP. Sharon truly cared and pushed people to be self sufficient. Sharon was known as “the teacher” very thorough and direct. Sharon’s main job was raising four children into hard working adults. She loved having her routine lunch or dinner dates with her family/friends. She also loved going to Bingo and having her regular card nights. She loved and always said how proud she was of her kids and grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael N. Hecker; grandson, Jared C. Anderson; sister, Susan F. Kasey; parents, Clint A. Frakes and Betty Ambs Frakes.
Survived by sons, William T. Stewart and Joshua (Tracy) Stewart; daughter, Norma (Jonathan) Marcum; eight grandkids and 2 great grandkids; brother, Clifford “Tony” Frakes (Ruby); sister, Paula Ayer and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2024 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory.
