Janice “Jan” S. Akin Taylor, 80, of Owensboro, passed away, on January 9, 2024, under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born January 10, 1943, in Owensboro to the late Edward and Ella Kasinger Akin. Jan retired from U.S. Bank where she worked as a mortgage associate. She attended Ridgewood Baptist Church.
Jan loved her “critters,” listening to Elvis, loved going out with her friends and spending time with her family.
Along with her parents, Jan was preceded in death by her son, Mark Taylor and all of her six siblings.
Jan is survived by her son, Brian (Heather) Taylor; grandchildren, Jason (Kim) Morrison, Austin Taylor, Aaron Taylor, and Misty (Josh) Marshall; and great-grandson, Cody Morrison.
A visitation will take place on Friday, January 12, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Walnut Memorial Baptist Church, 519 W. Byers Avenue, Owensboro KY 42303. A burial will take place at a later date.
