The POP 2000 Tour — featuring Chris Kirkpatrick of *NSYNC, O-Town, BBMak, Ryan Cabrera & LFO — is coming to the Beaver Dam Amphitheatre this July. Local artist DJ Shay will open the show.
The event is set for July 6, with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. A password presale for tickets begins on January 12, and tickets go on sale to the general public on January 13. Click here for more ticket info.
Chris Kirkpatrick is an American singer, dancer, actor, and voice actor who is best known for his work as a founding member of the pop group *NSYNC. As a voice actor, he has worked on numerous kids’ shows, including voicing the character of Chip Skylark on “The Fairly Oddparents.”
O-Town’s story began in 1999, when “Making the Band” chronicled their rise to success throughout three seasons of the series on both ABC and MTV. The group’s first two full-length albums included No. 1 singles “Liquid Dreams” and “All or Nothing” and the Top 40 hit “We Fit Together.”
BBMak originally formed in 1997, and the group (Mark Barry, Christian Burns, and Stephen McNally) is back after a 15-year hiatus. The multi-platinum-selling English pop group has sold more than 3 million albums and had hit singles worldwide before disbanding in 2003.
Ryan Cabrera is the singer and songwriter behind hits such as “On the Way Down,” “True” and “Shine On” as well as albums including 2004’s Take It All Away, which hit No. 8 on the Billboard Top 200.
LFO burst onto the scene in 1999 with the No. 1 hit “Summer Girls.” Today, the lone remaining member Brad Fischetti keeps the name of LFO alive, performing the songs to fans, new and old.
DJ Shay grew up in Owensboro, and the summer after graduating from the University of Louisville she attended countless music festivals all across the country. In the years to follow she continued her travels until one day someone asked if she wanted to DJ in her hometown. With only two weeks to prep for something she had never done before, the rest is history. Since that night, she has become a staple in Western Kentucky, mixing party hits along with her vibrant energy, DJ Shay is one of a kind.
