Bowling recap (Jan. 8): DCHS vs. OHS

Daviess County and Owensboro went head-to-head in a city-county matchup at Diamond Lanes South. Both teams saw success as Owensboro’s boys’ team beat DCHS 6 to 1, while Daviess Couty’s girls’ team was victorious over OHS 6 to 1.

DCHS

The Lady Panthers were led to victory by Taylor Curry who bowled a 206. Kadi Hart also recorded a new high of 126.

Brandon Hall had games of 216 and 218 to lead DCHS in the boys’ match. Ocean Barnett’s 199 and 223, Thomas Gaston’s 193 and Miles Hill’s 193 were all highlights for the Panthers as well.

OHS

Deghen Riggs led the charge for Owensboro’s boys’ team with games of 244 and 262. Xavier Coomes also performed with games of 256 and 177. Multiple bowlers for the Red Devils saw new personal highs during the match. Those who recorded a new high game was Chuck Canady with a 218, Christian Miller and Eriksson Dean both had 193, Tristan Miller had a 186, Ryan Cain bowled a 185 and Andrew Christensen bowled a 182 as well. 

For the Lady Red Devils, Zalaya Brison led the girls’ team with games of 156 and 135. Teriana Jenkins bowled a 139, and Elizabeth Marshall bowled a 143 as well.
