Owensboro Catholic won their second All “A” Classic title in three years as they took down Hancock County, and Owensboro had a blowout win at home against Union County.

OHS 62, Union Co. 29

Owensboro had a blowout 62-29 victory at home over Union County. OHS established an early 6-point lead as they outscored Union 18-12 in the first quarter. The second quarter is when the Lady Red Devils put Union in a tough spot after holding them to only 4 points while they scored 21.  They ran away with the lead in the third quarter as they outscored Union 15-8. OHS cruises through the fourth quarter to win 62-29. 

Three players scored in the double digits for the Lady Red Devils. Shalyn Sprinkles led the team with 18 points and 100% FT% shooting 4 of 4. A’Lyrica Hughes followed behind with 13 points and Heleina John had 10 points along with 2 three-pointers.

OCHS 85, Hancock Co. 43

Owensboro Catholic took home the All “A” title after Aubrey Randolph and Hailee Johnson combined for 45 points in their 85-43 win over Hancock County. The Lady Aces will advance on to the Kentucky All “A” tournament. 

Catholic opened the game aggressively as they quickly established a 10-point lead after the first quarter at 23-13. OCHS scored another 23 in the second quarter while their strong defense held Hancock to just 7 points to give them a 46-20 lead at halftime. In the third quarter, Johnson made 3 three-pointers and Riley Kamrin made 2 to help OCHS score an impressive 32 points. They closed out the game at 85-43. 

Johnson’s 23 points and 4 three-pointers led the Lady Aces in scoring. Randolph’s 22 points and 2 three-pointers was the next highest. Delaney Cooper made 2 three-pointers as part of her 12 points on the night, and Karmin also made 2 pointers to her 10 points.
