Jerry Ray Davis purchased the Chrysler dealership in Owensboro in 2020, effectively changing the name to Chrysler Dodge Ram+Jeep. After navigating the pandemic for 2 years, he invested $7 million in a sales and service automotive facility at 3900 Frederica Street at the former Texas Gas property.
The dealership employs over 50 people and prides itself on remaining active in the community.
“Life is great,” Davis said. “We’re excited about selling and servicing cars, but more than anything, we’re excited about serving the community.”
Most recently, Davis and his team organized their annual Community Christmas event, providing presents to over 100 families in the community. They also partnered with Rally Point events to host Owensboro’s first-ever Professional Bull Riding event, donating the money raised back to kids in the community.
“Last month, we distributed shoes to students at several schools – it was an amazing experience,” he said. “We want to continue to provide for our community and hopefully raise even more money in the future. We appreciate the community’s support over the last 3 years and are glad we can give back.”
The dealership’s next major event is the Jeeps and Jamz Expo at the Owensboro Convention Center on June 7th and 8th. This marks the second year for the event, which includes a jeep convoy, kick-off party, obstacle course, trail ride, and more.
Jerry Ray Davis Chrysler Dodge Ram+Jeep currently offers invoice pricing for everything on the lot. Davis said they have several 2024s available and offer 0% financing on 2023 models. They’re also offering $2,000 below invoice pricing on Jeep Wagoneers.
Davis is a Madisonville, KY native, and his career in the car industry began in 1982, with his first sales job at 18 years old. He climbed the ladder to manager before eventually purchasing the Owensboro dealership.
“As a business leader in Owensboro with a complex business with several moving parts, I believe my experience can help our city become stronger and more supportive of people,” Davis said. “We employ people from all walks of life … Life is not easy; making tough decisions to improve lives is what I do best.”
