James Bailey Green, 84, of Owensboro, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born May 15, 1939 in Maceo to the late Bailey and Alice Edwards Green. Jim worked for National Southwire Aluminum, retired from Century Aluminum and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a member of Owensboro Christian Church. Jim loved motorcycles and boating. As a kid, he raced hydroplanes and as an adult enjoyed houseboating.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Faye Couch Green; three sons, Greg Green (Tara Goodman), Mike Green, and Kevin Green; six grandchildren, Cody(Crystal), Summer, Sheridan(Zach Dowell), Todd, Avery, and Ethan; and several great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, December 29, 2023 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation is from 3 p.m. until time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
