GRAHAM, KY., Freddie Jewell Vincent, 80, of Graham passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at his residence under the care of HPC of Western Kentucky. He was born in Muhlenberg County on June 8, 1943 the son of William Bryant Vincent and Opal Tyson Vincent. He was a Vietnam war veteran serving in the US Navy and stationed on the USS Bennington from 1964 until 1968. He was a UMWA coal miner, he loved traveling, hiking, racing, and kayaking, and he was also an avid outdoorsman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 48 years Christa Sue Vincent, and 4 brothers Ray Vincent, Roy Vincent, Eddie Vincent, and Bill Vincent.
He is survived by his son Samuel (Michelle) Vincent of Central City, his daughter Olivia (Sean) Proctor of Fairview, TN., 2 grandsons Morgan Dukes Vincent of Greenville, Austin Shane Vincent of Central City, 3 brothers Henry Paul Vincent of Graham, John (Virginia) Vincent of Greenville, and Steve (Donna) Vincent of Graham, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home and on Friday, December 29 from 11:00 AM until time of funeral.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, officiated by Bro. Barry Noe. Burial will follow in Yeargins Chapel Cemetery in Graham.
