Orville ‘Bubba’ Bray

September 2, 1969 - December 13, 2023

Orville ‘Bubba’ Bray

Orville ‘Bubba’ Bray 54, of Livermore, Kentucky went home to be with his lord and savior, surrounded by his loved ones at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Orville Ray Bray, III was born September 2, 1969 in Owensboro, Kentucky to Orville Eugene and Betty Louise Moore Bray, was married to the former Angela Gail Smith on June 7, 1991 and was better known as ‘Bubba’ to both his family and friends.

Orville was the true definition of a family man, his wife, daughters and grandson were his whole world. He was most importantly a man of God, his tremendous unwavering faith was something he shared with everyone who graced his presence. Orville was such a proud papaw to his best friend, Elias whom he spent every day fighting over the remote with. He was an extremely hard worker that spent many years laying brick and block before becoming a plant manager for Twin Rivers Furnishings until their closure, after which he finished out his working career in maintenance at Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph. Orville was a very proud and active member of Livermore Missionary Baptist Church where he loved to fellowship with his church family. Orville spent more than 20 years coaching and refereeing basketball where he impacted the lives of so many kids in our community, those were some of his most fond memories. He enjoyed watching any kind of sports, having large BBQ’s, fishing with his brother John, and spending time with his family. Orville was preceded in death by his mother, Louise “Moore” Bray; by a brother, Paul Eugene ‘Pete’ Bray; by a sister-in-law, Trisha “Ma” Casey; and his beloved Grandfather, Orville Ray Bray, I.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Angela Bray; two daughters, Angelia Butler (Shane) and Danasia Bray both of Livermore; a grandson, Elias Butler of Livermore; his father, Gene Bray of Livermore; two brothers, John Bray (Stormie) and Charles Bray (Kathy) both of Livermore; a sister, Betty Carter (Ricky) of Calhoun; a brother he acquired by love, Greg Smith (the late Amy Smith) of Owensboro; a very special nephew, Dwayne Case (Julie) of Livermore; several nieces nephews, and many friends.

Orville’s goal in life was to bring others to Jesus, so they too could have the love he had found in Him. Therefore, we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. For we live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at HOME with the Lord.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Revs. Clive Bell and Steve Case officiating.
