Martha Young Wedding, 77, of Owensboro, went peacefully home to Jesus surrounded by loving family on December 11, 2023 at home. She was born October 14, 1946 to the late Virgil and Pauline Young. Martha worked for the Daviess County Board of Education, retiring after 33 years. She attended Owensboro Community College and received her Associates Degree. Martha volunteered for the for the Red Cross, Civitan, and the Opportunity Center. She was a member of Ridgewood Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Tommy, Harvey, Bill, Virgil, and Jim.
She is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, Hugh Wedding; her children, Tammy, Randy, Ron, Lee, Beth and Scott; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Nancy and Virgie; and her brother, Bob.
Graveside services with be held at Brushy Fork Baptist Cemetery for immediate family. James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
