Apollo defeated Trinity in a local matchup while Daviess County found success in a hard-fought game at home against Breckenridge.
AHS 50, THS 28
Apollo had a comfortable 50-28 victory over Trinity. The E–gals had control of the game early on after getting a 21-9 lead.
Jennifer Lee and Jenna Dant led the E-gals in scoring with 12 and 11 points respectively. Kenzie McDowell and Sarah Payne led the Lady Raiders with 12 points each.
DCHS 41, Breckinridge 38
Daviess County defeated Breckinridge at home in a close 41-38 match. DC started the game behind 11-5 after the first quarter. They closed the gap by halftime to trail at 17-15. Breckenridge held onto their lead by the end of the third quarter at 29-25. In the final quarter, a key bucket and a three pointer by Lily Hoagland helped the Lady Panthers take the lead and the game at 41-38.
Hoagland led the team in scoring with 15 points. Following behind was Kennedy Lane with 11.
