Owensboro and Daviess County went head-to-head on the first district gameday of the new season. DCHS triumphed over OHS in a comfortable 73-60 win.
The Panthers had multiple players finish with points in the double digits. Gage Phelps led the team in scoring, but Jonathan Moss’ 16 points along with his 8 rebounds, one steal and 100% FT% shooting 5 of 5 stole the show. DeAaron Watkins had 16 points on the night as well, and Jaxon Brown finished with 10 points.
For the Red Devils, two players had points in the double digits. Leading the team was Keaton Hughes with 19 points. Dayshaun Sanders had the next highest point total with 17 points.
