Owensboro came out on top in their district matchup against Daviess County. The game was close, but the Lady Red Devils won 35-32.
The match started out evenly as the score at the end of the first quarter was 7-7. OHS gained the advantage going into halftime at 18-16. The Lady Panthers struck back and tied the game again at 27-27 going into the fourth quarter. It was narrow, but Owensboro outscored DC by just three points in the final quarter to win 35-32.
A’Lyrica Hughes led the Lady Red Devils in scoring with 14 points. Unique Carter-Swanagan followed close behind with 11 points. Lily Hoagland led the lady Panthers in scoring with 13 points.
