Robert E. “Bobby” Ashby, Jr., 70, of Hartford joined his mother in heaven on November 22, 2023 at his home. He was born August 6, 1953, in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Robert E. Ashby and Violet Simpson Lutz.
Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Terri Ashby; nephew, Richard Nabours, and niece, Tiffany Howard.
Survivors include, his three children, Shannon (Ross) Burns of Dawson Springs, Robert E. (Gina) Ashby, III of Leitchfield, and Billi (Heath) McCann of Morgantown; fourteen grandchildren, Mariah (Travis) Ferguson, Robert (Cortney) Burns, James Burns, Mary Burns (Jayden Law), Levi Burns, Madilynn Ashby, Rhianna Ashby, Allie Ashby, Dakota Talos, Harley Edge, Haley Edge. Hannah Edge, Haddie Edge, and Dallas (Raeleigh) Edge; ten great grandchildren, Lennox, Gracelyn, Maverick, Waverly, Judah, Colson, Rosalynn, Brinley, Kynzlee, and Lyla; nine siblings, Carolyn Sue Blackburn, Timmy Ashby, Jeff Ashby, Mark Ashby, Angel Lutz, Beverly Renfrow Hardin, Juliana Rhea, Jennifer Ashby, and Sally Phillips and several nieces and nephew.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
