Lillian Marilyn Cook, age 82 of Hardinsburg, KY began her spiritual journey on November 22, 2023. She was born in Carbondale, IL on July 9, 1941, daughter of the late Ruby Charlotte Wright and Thomas Eugene Betts. Lillian worked in secretarial positions for over 40 years with the University of Kentucky and Humana. She was an elder of the Kentucky Native American family and very active over the last 30 years with the annual Richmond Pow Wow. She was so full of life and dedicated to righting all wrongs to others. Lillian was a member of Restorations Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Francis Leonard Cook who died 1-11-2014, her son SP 4 Frankie Lynn Cook who died 9-7-1982 and her brother Leonard Betts.
Lillian is survived by her daughter Darlene Cook of Hardinsburg, KY
3 grandchildren – Nate Newton (Ayla), Cassie Weedman (Todd) and Kara Dearing (Jake) and 7 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Restorations Church on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at 2 PM.
