Marjorie Brown Easton, 97, passed away November 22, 2023. Marjorie was born December 22, 1925, to the late Virgil Brown and Clara Jackson Brown in Pellville, Kentucky, in Hancock County. After her mother’s death in 1926 she was raised by her paternal grandparents, Thomas H. and Vitula Brown. Her sister Rachel Sue and she were also loved and cared for by her maternal grandparents, Thomas and Annie Petrie Jackson. James Easton and Marjorie were married July 31, 1940. They celebrated their 71 anniversary on July 31, 2011.
Marjorie was a member of Christ Community Church. She loved her church and attending the senior luncheons. She enjoyed playing bingo and bunco, crocheting, bowling, gardening, cooking, spending time with her family, and the many winters she and Jim spent in Florida.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, Jim; three sisters, Rachel Sue Brown, Doris Brown, and an infant girl; as well as two sons, G.O. Easton and Jerry L. Easton.
Marjorie is survived by her children, James Derek Easton and Deborah Joy de Caussin (husband Norman); four grandsons, James Russell Easton, Jimmy Lee Easton, James Adrian de Caussin, and Ryan Benjamin de Caussin (wife Ime); two granddaughters, Julie Easton Gadbois and Bonnie Easton (husband Brian); two great-granddaughters, Ariana Marie Perez and Alison Sophia Easton-Alegria; and a great-grandson, Theodore Benjamin Akpan de Caussin, born October 6, 2023. She is also survived by a sister-in-law Teresa Easton; cousin Marilyn Jackson Roebuck (husband Ron); other cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of life will be at 2:00pm on Friday, December 1, 2023 at James H. Davis Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:00pm – 2:00pm on Friday at the funeral home.
