Jesse James Burden, 68, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 16, 2023, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born February 10, 1955, in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Wavy G. Burden and Laney Pearl Finley Burden. He enjoyed breaking down and rebuilding cars and working on his family home.
Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by his infant grandson, Brian Sharp and three brothers, Bobby, Wayne, and Buddy Burden.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, daughter, Sherry Lynn Burden of Grandview, Indiana; five grandchildren, Leslie (Gavin) Holland, Jennifer (Sean) Snodgrass, Bethany Skelton, Nicholas (Iesha) Skelton, and Jacob Skelton; ten great grandchildren; three sisters, Gladys Burden of Beaver Dam, Patsy Green of Roseboro, North Carolina, and Belle (Roy) Billiter of Beaver Dam, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Saturday, November 25, 2023 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Rev. Jay Raymond officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Butler County. Friends may visit with Jesse’s family from 10 AM until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
