Bennie Thomas Burden, 87, of Hartford, passed away on November 17, 2023. He was born February 14, 1936, in Horton, KY, to the late Arthur Ray and Alta (Renfrow) Burden.
Bennie worked as an Installer for Snyder Awning Company, enjoyed woodworking and fishing, and frequently visited Riverside Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Bennie is preceded in death by his son, David Wayne Burden, and his siblings, Wilda Mae Lindsey and George Kenneth “Kenny” Burden.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Terry (Tawnya) Burden, Johnnie Burden, and Pricillia (Michael) Gillespie, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Ohio County. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory, and again on Wednesday 22, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
