Betty J. Peak, 72, of Owensboro, passed away November 1, 2023, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born July 9, 1951, to the late John Raymond and Willie Mae Lanham.
Betty was special and one of a kind. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, baking, soft blankets, word puzzles, and UK Basketball. Betty was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She cherished time with her family and grandchildren above all.
In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Lanham, Barbara Sue Payne, and Teresa Johnson.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 50 years, Charles Peak; daughter, Christy Smith (Charles); sons, Michael Peak and Jeffrey Peak (Sandra); siblings, James Lanham, Charsetta Lanham, and Joe Lanham; grandchildren, Matthew, Kayla, Mason, John, Maximus, Hank, Dakota, Brayden, Brennan, Emilee, and Morgan; greatgrandchildren, Olivia, Paisley, Jaxon, and Braxton; and several nieces and nephews.
The service for Betty will be 2 PM Sunday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Saturday from 2 PM until 6 PM and Sunday 12 PM until time of service.
