Lindy W Estes, 87, of Hawesville went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 26, 2023 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Lindy was born on September 9, 1936 in Lewisport, KY to the late Wallace and Phronia Cavendar Estes. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church and worked for the Daviess County Board of Education. He enjoyed singing and performed on American Bandstand. He was preceded in death by three grandchildren Jonathan Salcedo, Breanna Daugherty and Bradley Daugherty, a sister Jessie Coultas and two brothers Frank Estes and David Estes.
Survivors include his wife of forty years Carol Lyons Estes; five daughters Monie (Bro. Larry) Sosh, Stephanie (Jerry) Nichols, Dana Williams, Candy (Ken) Hodgkins and Liana (Will) Stinnett; two sons Tim Daugherty and Stacey Estes; five sisters Marge Raymond, Sylvia Stinnett, Cora Hardin, Betty Bennett and Lilly Patton; two brothers Art Estes and John Estes; 25 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Funeral services are at 1:00 pm Monday October 30, 2023 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville Chapel with burial following in Roseville Cemetery. Lindy’s family will great friends from 10:00 am until service time at the Funeral Home.
