John L. Wittman, 67, of Tell City, passed away after a brief battle with ALS on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at his home under the care of Heart to Heart Hospice. He was born in Tell City, IN on December 14, 1955 to the late Wilbert and Lula Mae Mathena Wittman. John was a member of Safe Harbor Christian Fellowship and was retired from Southwire. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, golfing, the outdoors, the New York Yankees and the Green Bay Packers.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Pam McFarling Wittman; children, David (Bernadette) McFarling, Ryan (Andrew) Peal and Stephen Wittman; grandchildren, Angel, Riley, Alena, Benjamin, Jonah and Kaya; brother, Gary (Rita) Wittman; uncle, Chester (Linda) Mathena and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville Chapel with burial following in Serenity Hills. John’s family will be greeting friends on Saturday from 10 am until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Safe Harbor Christian Fellowship.
