Wanda Ann Payne Young, 82, of Owensboro, passed away on October 23, 2023, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born May 6, 1941, in Knottsville to the late Joseph Arthur Payne and Mary Delphine Wathen Payne.
Wanda loved her family, especially her grandbabies. She loved the outdoors and her flowers. Wanda also enjoyed cooking for her family.
Along with her parents, Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, Clifton V. Young, Sr., and 4 siblings.
Wanda is survived by her children, Clifton V. (Lynda) Young, Jr., Vickie (Todd) Maden, and Brian (Laurie) Young; grandchildren, Cory (Elise), Kelsey (John), Kasey (Jeff), Colton (Grace), Robert “TJ” (Jamie), Derah (Caleb), and Judah (Taylor); 11 great-grandchildren; and 7 siblings.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 30, 2023, at St. William Catholic Church. Burial to follow at St. William Cemetery.
