The Raiders (12-11) struggled to score in the third period and couldn’t overcome the deficit in the loss to the Cougars (7-12) in the Sportscenter Shootout at the Owensboro Sportscenter.
McLean County used three 3-pointers to jump out to an 18-15 lead in the first quarter. The Raiders responded in the second frame with 8 points from Trenton Morris and 6 from Kevin Foster to go up 35-32 at the break.
The Cougars used a 19-8 third period to build a lead and hold on through the fourth to get the win.
Foster lead the team with 16 points and four 3-pointers. Sam Russelburg added 12 and Morris had 10.

The Aces (14-8) held a lead at the half but couldn’t hold on against the Gators (12-11) in the Wes Strader Schoolboy Shootout at Warren Central. Owensboro Catholic’s Peyton Survant and Greenwood’s Parker Williams were named Player of the Game for each team.
Survant finished with 9 points on three 3-pointers, all coming in the first quarter. He helped the Aces take a 15-8 lead, and they were up 23-21 at the half.
Greenwood used a 15-10 third quarter to take a slim lead, and they were able to hold on through the final frame.
John Parker led the team with 13 points and Zach Cecil scored 10.

The Eagles (3-21) fell in a big hole early and couldn’t recover in a road loss to the Braves (12-7).
Apollo trailed 24-12 after the first quarter and Union County pushed their lead to 44-30 by halftime.
The Braves continued to add to the lead in each of the final two periods.
Dan St. Claire and Malik Wilson each scored 14 points to lead the Eagles.
