The Kentucky Wesleyan College women’s basketball team posted their 13th win in a row by beating Ursuline College 83-69 Saturday.

The Panthers (17-3, 13-1) extend their record home-game winning streak to 12 while also gaining a two-game lead on Cedarville in the G-MAC race for the regular season conference title.

The Arrows put points on the board first but Wesleyan quickly took over as Kaylee Clifford and Jenna Martin drained back-to-back 3-pointers. The Panthers took a double-digit lead at the 3:24 mark of the first quarter on yet another 3, this time from Emma Wolfe.

After a solid defensive effort in the second quarter, Wesleyan held a 23-point lead at the break, after making nine 3-pointers in the first 20 minutes of action.

Ursuline outscored Wesleyan in each of the final two quarters, but the Panthers still held a double-digit lead the entire second half.

Wolfe led the team with 14 points off the bench, shooting 4-5 from beyond the arc.  Martin, Clifford and Keelie Lamb all scored 13 points. Lily Grimes posted a team-high six rebounds while dishing out nine assists.

The Panthers look to avenge their lone G-MAC loss of the season next week, hosting Cedarville at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
