Carolyn Stiles May, 85, of Owensboro, passed away on September 23, 2023. She was born to the late Earl and Clyde Ramey Stiles on July 5, 1938, in Aubrey, AK. Carolyn’s deep Methodist beliefs guided her life, and she loved conversing with people and making new friends. She cherished cooking for her loved ones, especially her signature corn pudding and grand breakfast feasts. A devout Arkansas Razorbacks men’s basketball fan, she never missed a chance to cheer them on. Most importantly, her family was the foundation of her heart, and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Young May, Jr., and her son, Sidney Young May, III.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son Steven May and his wife Tiffany; grandchildren, Garath May and his wife Brook, Samuel May, Danielle May and her fiancé Jeshua Stradley, and Sydney May; and daughter-in-law Kelli May.
The celebration of life for Carolyn will be Thursday, September 28th at 5:30 p.m. at the Salvation Army of Owensboro.
