Elmer B. Kelley, 83, of Horse Branch, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023, with his family by his side. He was born March 24, 1940, in Horse Branch, Kentucky to the late Willie Kelley and Lorene Hayse Kelley. Elmer B. was a proud resident of Beaver Dam Nursing & Rehab; where he joined in most all activities and enjoyed growing vegetables with the other residents. He retired from the Kentucky Highway Department.
Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Mildred Kelley; two sisters, Donnie Wallace and Martine Frame, and two brothers, Delmer Kelley, and Wilmer “Otto” Kelley.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory a bother, Bobby Kelley of Morgantown; two sisters, Wanda Arnold of Louisville and Pamela Sue Daugherty of Beaver Dam, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Saturday, September 2, 2023, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Rev. Terry Tarrance officiating. Burial will follow in Leach Cemetery in Horse Branch, Kentucky. Friends may visit with Elmer B’s family from 10 AM until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
