OHS secured a landslide 13-0 victory against McClean County, while DCHS lost their first game 1-6 against Harpeth Hall in the Smoky Mountain Cup in Tennessee. OCHS also found victory in a 2-0 win over Evansville Central. AHS was defeated 0-4 by Ohio County.
OHS 13, McClean 0
Sydney Lovett led the team with seven goals in OHS 13-0 victory. OHS dominated the game as all 13 goals were scored in the first half, and McClean did not record a single shot for the entire half. The game was called at halftime due to the score.
The teams’ other goals were scored by Hailey Westerfield, Ella Hall, Amiyah Thomas, Kayla Hernandez-Nava, Emma Wilkins and Karleigh Brown who all had one goal each. Hall led the team in assists with three followed by Thomas with two. Olivia Wilkins, Stella Gilliam, Emma Wilkins, Westerfield, and Dominick Rosales all had one assist as well.
DCHS 1, McClean 6
DCHS suffered a tough 1-6 loss against McClean County in their first game in the Smoky Mountain Cup. DCHS goal was scored by Molly Fuqua from the assist from Kate McCain.
OCHS 2, Evansville Central 0
OCHS goalkeeper Abby Payne recorded her third shutout of the season in the 2-0 victory over Central. She had six saves during the match. OCHS goals were scored by Elle Bray and Allie Marston, and Jahaira Ward provided one assist.
