Alice Jewell Bland Hendrick, age 96 of Hardinsburg, KY passed away July 4, 2023 at Breckinridge Memorial Nursing Facility. She was born in McQuady, KY on October 10, 1926, daughter of the late John William and Mary Irene Ballman Bland. She was a retired case worker with the Kentucky Department for Health and Family Services. Alice was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and a former Adult Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed cooking for her family and gardening. She had a love of horses that began during childhood.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Howard Miller Hendrick, son Raymond Allen Hendrick and 5 siblings.
Alice is survived by 4 children: William Miller Hendrick of Hardinsburg, KY; Ann Howard Hendrick of McQuady, KY; Betty Lou Burke (J L) of Hardinsburg, KY and Nancy H Owen of Owensboro, KY
15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren
Her caregiver and friend Linda Smith also survives.
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 1 PM with burial in the Ivy Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 AM on Friday.
