Several local food trucks will be stationed at the Owensboro Regional Farmers’ Market on July 22 for the venue’s inaugural “Food Truck Festival.” There will also be live music by Krown, a band of local young musicians.

The event will take place from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the market, located at the corner of Triplett Street and Parrish Avenue. Food trucks will be in the parking lot, while picnic tables will be set up in the pavilion for guests.

Participating food trucks so far include The Cookie Bus, Curbside Kitchenette, Firehouse 29 BBQ, Hello Pop, J’s Good Grub, Libertalia Coffee Co, Lure Smoke Shack, Slick Back BBQ, and Taqueria La Bendición De Dios.

More trucks are encouraged to sign up. Those with a business license and wanting to participate can call 618-225-0587 for more information.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to set up in the pavilion and watch Krown’s performance.

Organizers said the event is to help draw people to the special events held at the Farmers’ Market outside of normal hours, and also noted the space is available to rent for events.
