Ernie Mincy 58, of Owensboro, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Ernest Arthur Mincy was born March 14, 1965 in Owensboro, Kentucky to David and Emma Lou Ruby Mincy, was married to the former Kimberly Lynn Taylor April 18, 1998 and was better known as “Ernie” to both his family and friends. Ernie was an industrial cleaning technician for Hasgoe of Owensboro and a member of Panther Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt Sr. & Jr were his favorite drivers. Ernie was preceded in death by his father, David Mincy and by a brother, Lonnie Mincy.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Kimberly Mincy; a son, Cory Mincy of Mt. Ulla, North Carolina; two daughters, Kami Mincy (Damon Davis) of Salisbury, North Carolina and Colleen Sallee of Owensboro; a grandson, Jaxson Davis; his mother, Lou Mincy of Calhoun; a brother, David Mincy of Calhoun; and two sisters, Susie Wilson (Steve) of Sacramento and Karen Troutman of Rumsey.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Pleasant Hope General Baptist Church. Friends may visit with Ernie’s family from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Saturday at Pleasant Hope General Baptist Church. Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for Ernie’s family.
