Multiple local churches are again partnering to put on Connect Camp later the month. The weeklong camp combines faith-based lessons and messages with engaging activities and skill stations.
Connect Camp is scheduled for June 19-23 and will be hosted at Kentucky Wesleyan College. It is open to children who have completed kindergarten through the completion of fifth grade. More than 200 campers are already signed up.
The cost to attend is $244 per child, and registration can be completed here. Registration includes two snacks per day, and a camp T-shirt. the camp will take place from 7:45 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:45 a.m.-12 p.m. Friday.

The camp offers 19 “skill stations” for the children to participate in over the course of the week. Skills include a variety of sports, painting, dance, basic building techniques, crafts, cooking, and more.
Eight local churches are involved, including First Baptist, Owensboro Christian, Walnut Memorial Baptist, Eaton Memorial, Wing Avenue Baptist, Christ Community Church and New Life Church and BridgePointe Church.
First Baptist Minister of Community Engagement, Brad Winter, said that kids “look forward to this camp every year.”
