CENTRAL CITY – Valerie Kay Nelson, 59, of Central City died Thursday May 11, 2023 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. Mrs. Nelson was born September 6, 1963 in Beaver Falls, PA. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lucinda Lao; parents, Theodore, and Francis Whitla; and brother, Patrick Whitla.
She is survived by her husband, Tony Nelson; children, B.J. (Hollie) Lao, Kim Nelson, Karl (T.J.) Nelson, Jr., and Tiffany (Josh) McKaig; sixteen grandchildren; sister, Linda Whitla; brothers, Bob (Sheila) Whitla, and Tim (Becky) Whitla.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 15, 2023 at 12:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Leslie Duncan officiating.
