
James Moore 67, of Livermore, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at his home in Livermore. James Henry Moore was born February 6, 1956 in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Paul Wilbur and Ida Irene Vincent Moore, was married to the former Teresa Rose Phillips March 8, 1976 and was better known as ‘Big James’ to both his family and friends. Big James was a spreader truck driver for U.S.S. Fertilizer Company and served in the U.S. Army. He was a true handyman, could fix anything and enjoyed riding his electric wheelchair around town. In addition to his parents, Big James was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Louise Bray and by a brother, Terry Ray Moore.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Teresa Moore; a son, James Cleveland ‘Little James’ Moore of Livermore; a daughter, Angela Kurtz of Owensboro; a step daughter, Christie Roberson of Owensboro; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; four brothers, John Moore of Livermore, Charles Moore (Shelia) of Owensboro, Edbert Moore (JoAnna) of Philpot, and Gene Moore (Lisa) of Sacramento; and a sister, Joann Case of Livermore.
Family services will be held at a later date. There will be no public visitation. Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for Big James’ family.
