UPDATE:
Ryan C. Lloyd appeared in court Friday in reference to a Dec. 19 arrest concerning a case of possible voyeurism.
Judge Nick Burlew ordered Lloyd to stay away from the alleged victim’s residence, the family of the victim and not have any contact with the victim via phone call, text, social media or third-party association.
Lloyd’s public attorney said the $5,000 full cash bond had been paid and Burlew said the bond will remain the same.
Lloyd’s attorney asked that the preliminary hearing be waived in exchange for the bond and Burlew agreed.
On Dec. 18 at 9:10 p.m., an Owensboro Police Department detective was called to a residence to investigate a case of possible voyeurism.
The victim came to OPD with what appeared to be a small camera containing a memory card. The victim located the device in the wall below a light fixture in the residence’s bathroom.
The memory card contained images of full frontal nudity of a female juvenile who also lives at the residence.
Electrician Ryan C. Lloyd, 41, was arrested on Dec. 19, after being identified as the suspect. The victim advised that on Dec. 2, Lloyd had completed electrical work on an interior light near the bathroom where the camera was found.
The detective found the camera had been wired directly to the light the suspect had worked on in the hall outside the bathroom.
The victim advised that no one else had been in the residence and no one else had completed any electrical work. The victim had also been in the home when Lloyd worked on the light and that he did not have any help.
