McKinley ‘Kenny’ Trent, age 91 of Hardinsburg, KY passed away December 18, 2022 at Brandenburg Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born in Woodrow, KY on November 4, 1931, son of the late Percy and Anna Nix Trent. Kenny was a member of St. Romuald Catholic Church and a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a lifelong farmer and enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Sue who died April 19, 2022, his sister Norma Drane and brother Earl Trent.
Kenny is survived by 4 step daughters: Charlene (Terry) Cherry of Lawrenceburg, KY; Marilyn (Brian) Henning of Hardinsburg, KY; Tammy (Dewayne) Butler of Irvington, KY and Tiffany (Josh) Hardesty of Brandenburg, KY
9 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren
1 sister: Donna (Larry) Thatcher of Indianapolis, IN
nephew: Bruce (Dayna) Drane of Garfield, KY
Funeral services will be held at St. Romuald Catholic Church on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 11 AM with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 AM on Thursday at the church under the direction of Trent-Dowell Funeral Home. All times are central.
