Donna Faye Smith, age 59 of Hardinsburg, KY passed away December 17, 2022 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Donna was born in Hardinsburg, KY on June 10, 1963, daughter of the late Billy Horsley and Martha Jean Haycraft Horsley. She was a homemaker who enjoyed crafts, especially making jewelry and watching movies – her favorite was Fried Green Tomatoes. She was quite the homebody, but looked forward to visits with her children and grandchildren. Donna attended Sample United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister Brenda Kaye Horsley.
Donna is survived by her husband Ricky Smith of Cloverport, KY
2 daughters – Brittney Poole and Ashley Smith of Hardinsburg, KY
3 grandchildren – Madison Poole, Hannah Smith and Waylon Waddell
2 brothers – David Horsley of Hardinsburg, KY and Tony (Wendy) Horsley of Indiana
2 sisters – Pat (Greg) Stilwell of Kingswood, KY and Tammy (Ricky) Allen of Centertown, KY
her friend – Gary Simmons of Stephensport, KY
several nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 11 AM with burial in the Sample Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, 4-7 PM and Wednesday after 8:30 AM.
Expressions of sympathy are requested to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
