Lena F. Lucas, age 65 of Owensboro, KY passed away November 3, 2022 at her residence. She was born in Hardinsburg, KY on July 22, 1957, daughter of the late Charles Henry and Mary Nancy Richards Horton. Lena was a homemaker who loved family gatherings and organizing get togethers. She enjoyed cooking, baking, playing card games and electronics. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Carlton Lucas and her brother Chuck Horton.
Lena is survived by her children: Cody (Amber) McCoy of Tell City, IN; Carl (Tara) Lucas of Cannelton, IN; Tasha McCoy of Owensboro, KY; David Lucas of Vine Grove, KY; Frank (Christal) Lucas of North Carolina and William (Miae) Lucas of Elizabethtown,KY
10 grandchildren: Matthew, Ryan, Joshua, Sarah, Daniel, Elena, Addison and Emma Lucas; Chelsey Harris and Paige McCoy
2 great grandchildren: Rylee and Leo Harris
10 brothers and sisters: Roger (Beddy) Horton and William (Vendetta) Horton of Hardinsburg, KY; Donald Horton of Custer, KY; Bobby Horton, Ronnie Horton and Judy Breeden of McDaniels, KY; Frances DeVore of Louisville, KY; Linda (David) Chaney of Ohio; Becky (Gary) Roberts of Owensboro, KY and Brenda Lyall of Upton, KY

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 1 PM with burial in the New Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 AM on Monday. All times are central.
